Why You Should Have a Tankless Water Heater

The most noticeable everyday benefit of a tankless hot water heater is that you won’t run out of hot water.

One of the things about your home that you probably spend the most time dealing with, without consciously thinking about it, is the water. First, you have to have running water to live in a building. Next, you have to have various appliances to make the water work for you: water filtration systems, toilets and faucets, water heaters, and more. Most water heaters do not last forever. If you’ve had your current one for several decades, it’s probably getting close to the end of its lifespan (unless you’ve taken meticulous care of it). If you might be replacing your water heater in the near future, you need to seriously consider a tankless water heater.

Lower Utility Bills

A tankless system takes less energy because it doesn’t have to heat the entire tank of water and maintain its temperature. This alone can help noticeable lower your utility bills.

Less Space and Maintenance

Tankless units take up so much less space than traditional water heaters. You might even find that you have space to install something new in your basement that you’ve always wanted. You can also install more than one tankless heater so that you have it on the same floor as you’re using the hot water (so it doesn’t cool in the pipes). Those tankless systems are also going to require far less maintenance (because you don’t have to take care of the tank).

Endless Hot Water

Probably the most noticeable everyday benefit of a tankless hot water heater is that you won’t run out of hot water. A traditional heater heats the tank full and when you run out, you run out. In a tankless system, the heating elements heat the water as it passes through, so that the water is constantly and continuously hot for as long as it is turned on.

Longer Lifespan

Generally, a tankless hot water heater will last between 5 years and a decade longer than a traditional tank water heater. This may not sound like a lot, but it is long enough to get your kids all the way through those teenage, showers take hours, ages.

Better Energy Efficiency

Tankless systems are much more energy efficient, which translates into money saved, personally, but also means a cleaner, greener tomorrow for the world. It is such an easy switch that has so many amazing benefits.
